Abstract Cats Painting Activity
Unleash your creativity with our Paint Your Own Abstract Wooden Cat Project!
Hand carved from wood by Shelly Drews and created especially for our Art Café, this modern, abstract-style cat cut out is a fun and expressive painting experience for kids and adults. With its smooth wooden surface, it is perfect for experimenting with color, patterns, and creative techniques.
Go bright and playful, soft and minimal, or bold and artistic. This project invites you to paint outside the lines and create a one of a kind piece of art that reflects your personal style.
If you plan to paint here in person - we will supply paint and brushes for you to complete this project.
Recommended Paint:
Acrylic paint works best for our wood Art Café Projects.
We love Folk Art Multi Surface Paints as well as Apple Barrel Multi Surface Paints
Tips:
Start with a neutral base coat on your project first. The wood absorbs a lot of paint, so laying down one solid layer helps the other colors glide on more smoothly and look more vibrant.
If you really wanna go all the way, give your project a light sanding after your base coat dries. Focus on the edges and sand off any rough bits of wood left by the band saw.
We love to see your finished projects! Send us pictures of your creation here: laughingfishmi@gmail.com
