I was inspired by starry skies and swirling nebula photos when I painted this imaginary scene. A lot of people have said it reminds them of the Northern Lights—which I love, and we’re lucky enough to see here in Northern Michigan pretty often. For me, this piece is all about capturing that dreamy, otherworldly feeling of looking up at the night sky and getting lost in it.
